No care for clients and clients property

What a bad experience, me vehicle was in the loading area and I needed to leave seeing that a truck was blocking the one exit, I was pointed to exit threw the other open gate, when I got to the gate the gate track hit the under of my VW Caddy damaging the exhaust and heat reflector plates under the vehicle. I immediately asked for the manager to complain about the damage to the vehicle as the track for the gate was too high, the manager said this also happened to his lowered vehicle and he paid for the damage , in other words I should do the same, saying they have a disclaimer on the wall, I advised him if he being the manager had this problem he should have done something about it as he has clients driving threw these gates, he then said that gate is to come in why did I go out that gate, I advised i was shown by staff to use that gate, there was no sign saying no exit, This lack of interest in clients or property is really evident at this store of Build it. Having looked at the under of my vehicle the manager went about his duties, leaving me standing there, I took photos of the gate tracks, went to the manager and he was asking his staff what should they do?? very unprofessional
