Lost Receipt No Refunds

On the 21st of April, I purchased products worth over R11 000 at Build It Tsakane, we had to return a pillar because it was smaller. Unfortunately, I lost the receipt, can you believe I had to buy another pillar because they cannot get the transaction on their end? So I have lost that amount and seems like nothing Build It can do about this.

Hi Thabiso, Thank you for your follow up, please be advised it is a requirement by law to produce proof of purchase when returning goods.  Tsakane Build it has requested that you bring your bank statement and proof of purchase for the return.  Tsakane cannot accept any return without proof of documents and will gladly assist you once you have the required details.  Thanks and regards Tamara @ Build it Customer Care

Since I had originally stated that I lost the receipt, confuses me how RS build it only required a date of purchase to help us when we had a similar issue, Tsakane Build it cannot help, I even provided them with transaction date.
Well what can one say I lost, they may keep my product and my money, Im powerless against them.
Thank you for absolute nothing.
