Bad service by Gert at Hunters Retreat

Hi there

I just came from your shop and I must register my complaint at the poor and rude service received in the store. When I looked at the Buildit website, I was given the impression that your instore includes assistance with materials required for a buiding project. I went to to the store and a gentleman by the name of Gert offered to assist me, but as soon as I mentioned that I would like to get a materials list, he was not happy about it. I told him that the website advertises this service, and he told me the website is wrong, and people just assume that he has time, which he doesnt... he was also swearing the whole time, like this is an inconvenience to him.

When he looked at the plan, he started to complain that it would take him a week to do the plan, which I didnt mind, but he went on and on and on, until he decided he wont be able to help me unless the plans are approved plans. I advised him that I needed the materials list so I can apply for a building loan, which he said would be a further inconvenience because it will take months of work, plans will need to be revised and he just doesnt have the time for that..

My issue in summary

1. The gentleman was very rude and kept swearing which is highly unprofessional. 2. The service is advertised on the website, and no mention of approved plans requirement 3. I felt belittled in the conversation by someone who was just unwilling to assist even though the services I asked for are advertised.

I know this will probably not lead to any action, so I will take it upon myself to at least give this review in other platforms such as Hello Peter and google, so that shoppers are aware of what the experience will be like for them to go to this store. image.png
