Abuse of staff by a manager in full view of customers

I walked into this Build it store on Sunday, the 14th of March 2020, and noticed a young man being screamed at in a very abusive manner for having made a mistake(Having handed out a wrong item to a customer), the young man was extremely scared, to a point that he was even shaking.

He a few minutes later went on to continuously verbally abuse 3 young black women, firstly it was because they took a heater that was switched on but not used by anyone near them so it can warm them up as they serve us, and then it was for the mistakes they were doing. He called one stupid, another an idiot and a fool. For over 20 minutes these young women had to endure such abusive and brutal attitude with no sense of respect or regard for their dignity, all this in full view of customers.

This is not a defense for the mistakes they committed, I do believe they must be held fully accountable for their mistakes, but at the center of that accountability process, there must always be respect and regard human dignity.

I then intervened, with the very same tone and attitude he had towards his staff and I made him apologize to the women. He, however, gave a very cold arrogant behavior just to get me off his back. While this was happening, 2 older black men who are part of the staff came into the defense of this bully of a ****** manager.

I will be returning to the store in a few days, if the situation is still the same, I will then take steps to mobilize political muscle to deal with that bully of a ****** manager in a manner that he deserves to be dealt with.
