Valet

I booked a vehicle at Budget car rental over the festive period at Cape Town International. I was informed by the rude agent at the desk that due to the shortage of water, they do not wash the cars which I can understand, but I must please valet the car before I bring it back otherwise there would be a R 300 charge to my account. First time I have heard about this after hiring vehicles all my life! Is this a new policy the have implemented to cut costs especially since you are on holiday and now need to look for a valet garage in an unfami**** town. Finally cleaned the car myself with a rented vacuum cleaner from my brother in law who assisted in cleaning the car!
