After making an online booking to rent a vehicle at Budget Rent a Car, Cape Town International, the amount quoted and booked for was suddenly much more. It turns out they quote an amount without added tax and only add the tax when you pick up the vehicle and have to pay. It clearly states in their Booking T's & C's that the booking amount includes all costs. Then no one assisted in finding the rental and checking it for damages, after which I took it upon myself to do so. When returning the rental they still charged for the damages after showing them that it existed prior to me using the car. I had to wait 7 days to receive my deposit back, only to find out (after numerous calls) that there were damages I had to pay for. I complained and a case was opened, which took another 7days before any feedback was given. Now, besides the dishonesty with the booking amount, trying to pin prior damages on me And making me wait for a response, they charge me R1045 for a wheel cap that had a few scratches! And it wasn't even my fault. Unbelievable!
