Keep hold on money for 3 weeks

I hired a car gave car back with no incident and 3 weeks later they still holding a hold on my bank account. Money I need to use to buy food I can't touch until they lift there hold. Phone them they tell me 48 hours. Still nothing. Now the only work Monday to Friday and nobody working on a weekend has authority. PATHETIC
