Incorrect reading on rental vehicle by Budget Avis

On 15 Nov 2018 I rented a vehicle with Budget Avis for 2 days-rental agreement E ********** 71. I travelled with 2 passengers from OR Tambo airport to the Silver Lakes area in Pretoria and the next morning before 10am I returned the vehicle to the Budget Avis branch in Pretoria City Centre. In total I did not drive more than 70 kilometres. (When I got to Pretoria I parked my car at my nephews house until the following morning when I took the car back to Budget). The initial total contract value was R688.41 against which I made a payment of R511.41 on 14 November when I did the online booking leaving me with a balance due of R177.00

To my surprise an amount of R1283 was debited to my credit card on 28 November. I did not receive a second invoice neither was anything communicated to me by Budget. When I sent a query to Budget by email they told me that I exceeded the kilometers by 385 km (that is over and above the free 200km) for which they charged me R958.

I immediately explained to them that I did not drive more than 70km in total and asked them to investigate as I believe that either the opening or closing kilometres were captured incorrectly on their side. (I have 2 witnesses who travelled with me) . After numerous reminders I am still waiting for a response from them.
