Budget & Avis putting me in a world of debt!

I rented a vehicle from Budget in December of 2016. While in Cape Town i was unfortunate enough for all 4 the hubcaps of the rental car, which was a polo, to be ******.

I did what any good person would do, called the call centre, told them what happened. Made a police report for insurance purposes even had the police take fingerprints. All and all this made me lose 2 days on my trip to get all of this admin done.

As soon as i returened the car my account was debited with a large amount, much more than the normal amount they charge to fill up the gas tank. Now i had not financially planed for this and the amount they took off my account really hurt especially that time of the year. Not only did they just take the cash, nobody called me to say thanks for making a report etc, nor did they tell me how things would work moving forward.

If that wasnt enough, over 2 months later and Budget Rent a Car and their sister company AVIS have decided to debit my account with more cash, for WHAT? I DONT KNOW!!!!! Why is Avis taking my money? Contacted their team on the FB page, and again standard answers from the social media team, give us all the details and lets us investigate.

What really bothers me is that nobody from this company that i have been using exclusively for over 3 years on all my business trips has called me to tell me why they are taking my money, they are just doing it. And then i have to wait days to get a reply from their staff when i try to find out what is going on.

This is really unacceptable and i cant believe a company of their size do business like this. What it has come down to is that i will be using a different rental company next time i need to rent a car even if i have to pay extra. This is totally unacceptable.
