Bad service, unreliable vehicle, bad communication, bad price.....
What an terrible experience it was? We travelled in winter, snow conditions around 2000km from North Carolina to San Antonio TX with 2 small kids in the car. One would expect that a departing branch would at least consider a vehicle fit for the trip? Instead it looked like they pass the bad ones on to the next branch. The car used oil, the remote battery was flat, starting the vehicle was an issue by times, the car was in a accident prior to us having it, and the damage still there. On rear light was out, the window wiper blades were to due to be replaces, the actual wiper arms weren't set correctly and went off on the sides of the window making a huge noise. The car was overdue for a service..... When we phoned the departing branch they referred us to the destiny branch, they referred us to a help line, the help line referred us to the destination branch - nobody took responsibility, and we had trouble next to the road, paying for people to help us. We had to cut our trip short to hand the vehicle in, without any compensation, refund or SORRY for that. I made contact with Avis, and they refused any refund. I made use of and competitor afterward and could enjoy the rest of the trip without this kind of trouble.
