Worst Insurance that cares about money beyond reasonable measures
My policy started on the 4th December 2019 and my loss occurred on the 9th December 2019( The motorbike: 2019 Zontes ZT-310T (black in colour), registration no.: JJ03KCGP was ****** on the 9th December 2019 at 6938 Lekala Street, Section V Mamelodi West, 0122. A case was reported at the Mamelodi West Police Station on the 9th December 2019 and case no.: 78/12/2019 (Circulation no.: ***) was registered). First premium was due 17th December 2019 as per agreement; therefore I believe my loss occurred whilst my cover was active as per confirmation of cover sent on the 3rd of December 2019. The first premium due on the 17th December 2019 was returned unpaid due to insufficient funds and a re-debit was due on the 1st January 2020 but an earlier date was advised by the claims consultant as she wanted to finalize the claim earlier instead of waiting for the 1st Jan debit order; I agreed to the 24th December 2019 as I was anticipating availability of funds in my account on the agreed date but due to circumstances beyond my control, AVBOB debited my account on the day - resulting in a second returned payment. As explained by the claims consultant; after the 1st failed debit order, a second debit order is arranged 15 days thereafter for a second attempt; which in this case would be the 1st January 2020. This was not considered when making the final decision on my claim. Secondly; the consultant didn't mention that only 2 attempts will be made to successfully collect the premium and failure to do so will affect the outcome of my claim, she only mentioned this when informing me about the outcome of my claim. Thirdly; I couldn't find anywhere in the policy schedule where it is explained that it only takes 2 attempts to collect premiums then my policy gets cancelled, it only states that if a premium is not collected 3 months in a row (which I believe 3 attempts should have been made to collect the premium before rejecting my claim) then the policy is immediately cancelled. This is after I have even updated my banking details to ensure there are no surprises with premium collection going forward. The money for the premium has been readily available in my updated account since I have updated my banking details till to date but no communication was made to me until I was informed of the outcome of my claim on the 3rd of January 2020.
The dispute outcome states that I was not covered when I took delivery of the Bike from the dealership whereas I received confirmation of cover from budget; which means budget **** to me. 2. My initial debit date was for the 17th December 2019. Was I not covered from the 4th of December till the 16th of December 2019 prior to the debit taking place? 3. Budget is overlooking the fact that after the 24th failed debit; I requested a debit order to go off from my Capitec account and again, budget is not even taking into consideration that a re-submission for a second attempt was initially scheduled for the 1st of January 2020; it was the claims consultant who wished to conclude my claim as quickly as possible (clearly to reject my claim in this case) hence we agreed for an earlier date.
I had a 3 months long battle with Budget Insurance in 2015 and sworn I will never insure any of my assets with them ever again and I regret not sticking to my decision and giving them a second chance.
We are sorry you feel this way, however, we note that your claim was reviewed and the outcome was discussed with you.
Kind Regards,
The Budget Team

You have proven beyond reasonable doubt that you care more about your premiums being paid than caring about your clients. I wish I had listened to my guts and not taken insurance with you. You are a useless bunch that must be exposed to what you really stand for. See you on the other side "twitter".
