Unfair and dishonest dealing

I was a victim of a shooting and attempted hijacking in April 2019 09th. The budget team was helpful at first but I later realized what a great mistake I had made by joining them. I was called in on the 2nd of July 2019 to collect the car. I was shocked to find the bumper scratched, splash cover missing, same old lower grille still broken with bullet holes on the firewall and seat cover. The referred to it as unforseen damages, saying 'you can't see it with a naked eye, really?! I left the car at nungu panel beaters for them to correct the mistakes. I was called in again on the 12th July 2019, before I left the workshop the car got stuck right there and I was told that it's a timing issue. I had to leave the car again. The car never had a timing issue, and the insurance and the panel eaters are telling me that it's not incident related. One of the bullets hit the timingbelt cover and got lodged inside, but now that this problem has risen I'm on my own. I'm still without my car and quite frankly I feel like I'm on my own. Must we always take the legal route before issues are solved?
