The HIDDEN INSURANCE AGENDA

Why is it that the client always has to come second in the Insurance race? I'm referring to the annual increase that all insurance companies charged their clients, whereby the client could " review" their premium. This was my experience with Budget Insurance. You will receive a confirmation letter that your policy will be reviewed meaning that you will be paying more for the upcoming FY. When I first saw the increment implemented on my salary I decided to change to another insurance company hoping to find a "better" premium. That's when the insurance company then phoned their clients wanting to know why are you suddenly cancelling. In my case I have found a better premium to the one I was paying at Budget Insurance whereby the retention representative told me that Budget could have decreased my premium with R700 just there on the spot. Now I'm asking why is it that the client first has to pay the higher reviewed premium when their is normally a alternative to the problem at hand. And don't think they will reverse any of the installments that you have made already.
