Simply the most useless, insufficient insurance company!!!!

Worst thing I could do was take insurance with Budget Insurance!!! The most *********** bunch of people that I have come across!!! I took a policy out with Budget and since my vehicle is financed, it would only make sense to include credit shortfall. I was then in the process of selling my vehicle and cancelled my policy as I wouldn't require insurance on it! I instructed the consultant to remove the Credit Shortfall, and surprise surprise there is no credit shortfall, yet when I took the policy I had to confirm all the finance details and account details with a "team leader". The deal for the vehicle didn't go through, and I decided to add the vehicle back on to cover, should something happen. I updated all my details, gave correct bank account details, double checked that credit shortfall was included, and changed my excess. Murphy's law, I have a claim the same day. And guess what, address was captured incorrectly and the excess wasn't changed. I had to fight back and forth, every time I was informed that they were escalating the matter and investigating the sales call. The amount quoted for my damages didn't seem right, and I requested a damage report from the panel beater, guess what? The full damages of the vehicle wasn't quoted on, as the call center agent that captured the claim, didn't write down the full incident, yet they made me sign letter of permission to go to the SAPS to get the agent report? So was this only obtained to prolong the claim and to make my life difficult as it was not read? The "senior loss adjuster" treated my like a ********. So if I was ill informed regarding cars, and a normal woman, they would have left me car and not fixed the total damages, as it was not quoted on? Isn't that not treating the client fairly and going against fit and proper? If I didn't think this nightmare could get worse, the Credit Shortfall premiums weren't deducted, as they used the incorrect banking details???? Plus now all the sudden I have duplicate credit shortfall policies, where I had nothing, now all the way to double. No wonder the Telesure group have so many companies within the group, because they know that they are a hazard to their reputation and have to cover up , Auto & General, Virseker, First for Woman, Unity, Hippo, Dial Direct and Budget, all belong to the same useless group!!!! Now again the matter is being investigated and they will provide me with feedbac**** I'm not holding my breath.

So fortunately the only positive thing was the assessor which was appointed, Ashley. Had it not been for him, Budget would have fixed a written off vehicle for R44 000. Ashley went the extra mile to actually listen to my concerns and frustrations. Budget has now finalized my claim as the damages were actually R135 000 and not the R44 000, that they initially approved. Total claim amount is R161 000. If I was not an informed client, Budget would have gotten away with only paying R44 000. Now I need to submit a Credit Shortfall claim, and guess what? Nobody in the whole company knows what is a credit shortfall claim. I've been transferred from pillar to post. Surely it should be treated as one claim as it's one policy number? Biggest mistake was taking insurance with Budget. Lesson learned!!!
