Shocking Service really
I logged a claim for a leak in my bathroom and and assessor came to assess the leak. he advised that my bath has cracked and leaking which needs to be replaced. the bath has cracked due to accidental damage of which according to my policy terms and conditions I should be covered now they are telling me that the claim has been rejected. Another problem i have is that i want to know where does it say on my policy that the outlet pipe is not covered. according to my policy the below is covered under building. (2 ) doesn't exclude or specify which pipes it just says Pipes
Buildings Under this section you may claim for damage to the physical structures of your home and its outbuildings. We will indemnify you for: Loss of or damage to your private home, garages, outbuildings, swimming pool, (but not borehole and swimming pool equipment), walls, gates, fences, tennis court, and the fixtures and fittings at the address on your schedule. Loss or damage caused by: 1. fire, lightning, explosion, and/or earthquake; 2. the bursting or overflowing of equipment or pipes (other than what is attached to the geyser or the geyser itself);
Anther problem i have is that i had to call and follow up myself regarding the outcome of my claim twice 1st i called and i was told there is no report from the assessor and i called again today to be told of this shocking news.
I spoke to Tumelo Lentswane who kept telling me what the assessor's report is saying even after I told him what happend to the bath so basically what i was saying was just a load of **** and he didnt care what I had to say. I then asked to speak to a manager waited 20min for the manager and she finally came to the phone Thembagazi who said she will escalate the issue to Kurt Malan as he is the manager of Alexandra Klein who was processing my claim to me a bath is not sanitary ware i then went to google maybe I was wrong to think a bath falls under sanitary ware.....
sanitary ware Word Origin See more synonyms on Thesaurus.com noun plumbing fixtures, as sinks or toilet bowls, made of ceramic material or enameled metal.
