Scratch and Dent Policy

I cancelled my policy yesterday with budget insurance (for Crutch and Dent) to my surprise they are contradicting their clause that's on my contract. I was in conversation with a guy buy the name of Dwane. He fails to read to clause and they are not willing to refund me my 12 months premium he is saying I didn't give them 30 days in writing and that clause is for when they are changing or Cancelling the policy. This is really terrible. I wouldn't recommend people to associate themselves with Budget. they write policy clause and fail to adhere to them.

Here is the clause taken from the policy : "Policy changes and cancellation Your policy may be changed or cancelled by giving you 30 days’ written notice. Any change or cancellation that you make will be effective from the time and date agreed to. Please note that, if you cancel your policy during the course of an insured month, the premium paid for the rest of that month will not be refunded to you. If you cancel your policy or any part thereof because you also have cover for the same item/s with another insurer or your vehicle was sold, ****** or written off or for any other reason, then your premium refund will be limited to premiums actually paid in the 12 months prior to Cancellation."

Unless one does not understand English. I know there are superior people at budget that might be able to read and understand what this clause mean. If not there this is Nonsense.
