******** or Just ***********... you decide!

Once again Telesure Group never ceases to amaze!

I have a third party claim against them regarding an accident that took place just before lockdown. Due to many difficulties related to obtaining the related documentation, the claim has been drawn out longer than it should have. Ill give them that . . . however, now that all has been finalised, I receive an emailed letter yesterday stating that, due the the fact that I did nothing to avoid the accident, they will only pay out 60% of the claim . . . So I have no idea who's facts they are going on, because there were no witnesses that came forward. Im still waiting for them to explain to me how I "should have avoided" the accident.

Two vehicles facing opposite directions, standing still, motionless, not moving, stationary... at an intersection waiting for the light to change in order to turn right. The light changes and I'm still stationary waiting for oncoming traffic to clear so that I can turn right, in the meantime, their client takes the widest turn to her right that I've ever seen an Ox-wagon take and pulls off, straight, into my left fender.

So, given that Im stationary and there are vehicles coming from an oncoming direction and there are vehicles behind me also waiting to turn right, how do I avoid this accident?

Granted, the one aspect that I left out of the accident report I sent to Budget insurance, not thinking it would make a difference, is that I hooted at this woman for the entire time she was moving toward me. So the argument now comes to the fact that I must "prove" that I hooted... This after the call centre lady "Busisiwe Ngwenya" kept referring back to the generic letter that she sent me saying that I "should have slowed down when entering an intersection". ... how much slower than stationary can I go?

I would love to hear the story their client spun them, which I doubt. This sounds more like they are making their own client pay the value of the excess (60% of the claim) and they are unwilling to pay the balance.

I am with Outsurance, and every time I feel like I need to move for cheaper premiums, I'm reminded of the ************ all of the Telesure Group are. . . every single time . . . whether as a 3rd party or a client (my wife was with First for Women, also Telesure group) . . . this is why I would rather pay the higher premium with Outsurance . . . the level of incompetence and logic at Telesure defies all belief.

Even reading this now, I can be sure you (the prospective client) don't believe me. Go ahead, sign up with them. From your very first claim with them, you'll finally believe the unbelievable.

Ive tried to resolve this with the manager "Vikesh" who eventually helped with the madness in my wife's accident case, but as expected, his line is permanently busy. While Vikesh seems to be more logical that the rest of this bunch, it obsurd to thing that one individual must resolve every case that comes through the door at Telesure.

For those who dont understand how hellopeter works . . . Companies have to pay for the right of reply to consumer reviews or complaints. The above reply is another indication of Budget (Telesure Groups) business logic. . . . they bothered to pay for a reply for public image only . . . why go to the expense if no-one is actually going to fulfill that commitment. I still havent heard from anyone at budget insurance regarding this complaint!
