Rude consultant

I have tried to cancel my insurance with budget insurance because after the annual review, I realised that my premiums have gone up and I can afford to pay more than I am paying. I made few calls with other insurances of wich I found Auto and general reasonable. The consultant ( I didn't get his name) told me how stupid I am for choosing auto and general. He said I know nothing about insurances so therefore I should trust them... All I wanted was lower premiums, comprehensive insurance that's it...
