Ripped of by Budget Insurance

On the 18th of December I had called Budget to cancel my property insurance as I had sold the property. On the 1st of December my account was debt for the Decembers premiums, thus I inquired as to the refund from the 18th to end December. To my disappointment, I was told I would need to first provide them with proof as my property being sold. Why is this when there were able to cancel the policy with out proof? I asked to speak to the manager but was told that she was to busy and will call me back the next day. To date no call. All this say is that when Budget wants you to take out a policy they will tell you what you want to hear and once they have your hard earned money they don't care.
