Rejected claim

I am very disappointed in budget insurance. I claimed for my oven and Air conditioner that was damaged by a power surge on the 15 July 2015. I sent all relevant documentation to budget insurance and waited 2 weeks for a response on my claim. Finally I was informed my claim is rejected because my oven and Air-conditioner fall under buildings insurance and not home contents and power surges are not covered in buildings insurances.<br> Further I would like an explanation as to how does my oven and Air Conditioner fall under buildings insurance and not home contents. Ovens and Air conditioners are electrical goods and are prone to power surges and short circuiting.<br> I feel very unsafe as now I feel my Stove, extractor fan, fridge, freezer, Room air-conditioners and other appliances are not covered if anything has to go wrong.<br> I believe that I have been unfairly treated and unless you can offer some proposals for settlement ASAP, I intend to refer my complaint to the Ombudsman for short - term insurance.<br> <br> Absolutely poor service from what is supposedly one of the best. <br> <br> Very unhappy!!!!
