Price Beat Promotion

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Budget Insurance’s Price Beat Promotion.

I submitted all my required documents on 5 August 2026, and Budget has since confirmed to me in writing that the documents were indeed received on 5 August. However, I have now been told that the documents are still being validated.

My concern is not that Budget has lost my documents — they have confirmed receipt. My concern is how long the validation process is taking and the lack of clarity around when this process will actually be completed.

Budget advertises its Price Beat as a way of demonstrating its value and commitment to customers. I was genuinely willing to take Budget’s quote and become a customer. In fact, I viewed this whole process as an opportunity to test the company before making that commitment.

Unfortunately, this is becoming a test that Budget Insurance is failing.

I understand that the terms state that the payout is made within 30 business days after the documents have been verified. However, this makes the validation stage particularly important. If my documents were received on 5 August, why is the validation still outstanding, and when exactly will it be completed?

What is also frustrating is that while I am waiting for this matter to be resolved, I continue receiving calls from Budget trying to secure my business and sell me insurance.

You are asking me to trust you with my insurance, while I am still waiting for you to complete the process of a promotion that was supposed to demonstrate your commitment to customers.

At this stage, I have lost confidence in the process. I was prepared to take Budget’s quote, but based on this experience, I am now seriously reconsidering that decision and will most likely continue looking for insurance elsewhere.
