Poor workmanship on my vehicle

Extremely Disappointed with Budget Insurance and Repair Quality

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Budget Insurance, particularly with the repair process handled through their appointed repair centre, Renew-It Rivonia.

After waiting approximately **21 business days** for my vehicle to be repaired, I collected my Hyundai i20 expecting the vehicle to have been properly inspected and restored to an acceptable standard. Unfortunately, the condition of the vehicle at collection raised serious concerns about the quality of workmanship and the level of quality control exercised by both the repair centre and Budget Insurance.

Upon inspection, I identified several issues, including:

* Poorly fitted and misaligned rear bumper. * Poor bonnet alignment, particularly on the left-hand side. * Poorly aligned parking sensors. * Petrol flap not functioning correctly. * Paintwork imperfections, including distortion and pinholes. * Paint residue/contamination and inadequate finishing. * General concerns regarding panel alignment and the overall quality of the repair.

These are not minor cosmetic concerns that I am simply being overly critical about. They are physical defects that were immediately noticeable when the vehicle was returned to me.

I am an experienced professional with a background in the automotive manufacturing environment and Operations Planning. I have worked on manufacturing programmes involving established automotive and industrial clients, and I currently work within a highly technical manufacturing environment. I therefore understand the importance of quality inspection, workmanship standards, dimensional alignment and proper final inspection before a product is released to a customer.

What concerns me most is that a vehicle could go through an entire repair process and approximately 21 business days without these obvious issues being identified before handover.

As a customer, I should not have to perform the final quality inspection myself after an insurance-authorised repair. I expected Budget Insurance to ensure that the appointed repairer delivered a vehicle that was properly repaired, inspected and fit for handover.

My concern is therefore not only with Renew-It Rivonia, but also with Budget Insurance's oversight and quality-control process when using its appointed repairers.

I would like Budget Insurance to take accountability for the standard of the repair and ensure that all outstanding defects are properly investigated and rectified rather than simply treating this as a minor customer complaint.

At this stage, my experience has left me questioning the level of quality assurance app**** to repairs completed through Budget Insurance's repair network.

I expected better from my insurer.

What Is Your Plan for Me While I Am Without My Vehicle?
Budget Insurance, I am extremely disappointed with the casual manner in which my complaint has been handled.
I submitted a detailed complaint to you a couple of days ago outlining the serious issues I discovered with my vehicle after it was returned from your appointed repair centre, Renew-It Rivonia. These are not trivial complaints. I documented multiple workmanship and quality-control issues, including poor panel alignment, bumper alignment, sensor alignment, paint defects, and a petrol flap that is not functioning correctly.
What concerns me now is the apparent lack of urgency and, more importantly, the lack of a practical plan from Budget Insurance.
I want to know directly: WHAT PLAN HAVE YOU PUT IN PLACE FOR ME WHILE I AM WITHOUT MY VEHICLE?
I did not budget for additional days without my car. I purchased my vehicle for reliable and convenient transportation and to be able to get to work and manage my daily responsibilities.
I cannot simply be expected to continue paying for Uber every day while Budget Insurance and the repair centre resolve problems that should have been identified before my vehicle was handed back to me.
Uber is extremely expensive, and those costs are not something I budgeted for. I should not be financially disadvantaged because a vehicle was returned to me with defects after an insurance-authorised repair.
So I am asking Budget Insurance to provide me with a clear and immediate solution:
Where is my courtesy car?
If my vehicle needs to go back to the repair centre for further rectification, what transport arrangement is Budget Insurance providing while this is happening?
How am I expected to get to work?
What provision has Budget Insurance made for my daily transportation while I am without my vehicle?
I am not asking for preferential treatment. I am asking Budget Insurance to take responsibility for the consequences of a repair process that has not delivered my vehicle back to me in an acceptable condition.
It is very easy to tell a customer that the matter is being investigated. What matters to me is what Budget Insurance is actually doing to minimise the inconvenience and financial impact on me right now.
I have already lost time dealing with this matter. I now potentially have to lose even more time without my vehicle, incur significant transportation costs and rearrange my daily life because the repair was not completed to an acceptable standard.
Budget Insurance, I need answers and I need action — not casual acknowledgement.
Please tell me:
1. When will I receive a courtesy vehicle?
2. What transport solution are you providing while my vehicle is unavailable?
3. Who is covering the additional transportation costs I am now expected to incur?
4. What is the exact plan and timeline for resolving all the defects I reported?
5. Who at Budget Insurance is taking ownership of this matter?
I bought insurance so that when something goes wrong, I have support and protection. At the moment, I feel like I am being left to deal with the consequences myself.
Budget Insurance, I am asking you to stop treating this casually and provide me with a practical solution. I need my mobility restored, I need to get to work, and I need Budget Insurance to explain what it is going to do for me while this matter is being resolved.
