Pillar to Post Insurance Company
On Sunday, June 25, 2023, a white Polo car drove through my boundary fence. Soon afterwards, the car was removed by a tow truck company. The following day, I reported the incident at the police station. I had to make my own inquiries to find the driver of the car. I found the driver and contacted her, and she informed me that she was insured through Budget Insurance. A claim number of *** was given to me. Photos and a quote of the damage were sent to Ms. Makgotso at Budget Insurance. About a week later, an accessor phoned me, but until today he has not been out to see the damage, and since then I have been sent from pillar to post for about 11 weeks, with further paperwork requirements being asked for weekly. To date, I have not received payment for the repairs. This is not an insurance company that I would insure with if I get treated like this just as a third party.

Later that afternoon, the run-around continued; an email was received from Budget stating that my attorney’s trust certificate had not been received by Budget. The request for my attorney’s trust certificate was required by Budget three or four weeks ago. I suspect that this time the repair funds could be paid out.

There is still no response from Budget Insurance.
This matter has been going on for almost 15 weeks.
In the interim, I have had to get the damage to my palisade boundary fence repaired out of my own pocket, for my own security, and to prevent my dogs from running out onto the very busy R24 Road.
The money for the repairs was to be paid into my attorney’s trust account, for which Budget Insurance has his email and trust details.
Seeing that it is so expensive for an attorney, I will have to take this matter to the small claims court.
There is still no response from Budget Insurance.
