Pathetic service against third-party claim

Some time in July 2017 my vehicle was involved in an accident by a drunk driver who fled the scene without leaving contact details, luckily I managed to get pics of the registration and his license document.

When I contacted my insurer I was advised not to sign any documents or agreements after making contact with the third party, I was advised that budget will liase with the third party and they will claim on my behalf... After all that's the services I pay for.

Ever since then my premiums have been paid on time and I was advised that I will have to pay excess in order to get my vehicle repaired. In that time I had provided budget will all the necessary contact information to make contact with the third party to proceed with my claim. PS :I had provided all the contact information, budget couldn't get anything.

From my understanding, budget has failed to live up to its service levels, every phone call that I have made to budget has indirectly insulted me due to the fact that when ever I speak to somebody I feel like budget is more for the third party rather than me. When I asked the representatives about my claim they keep on saying that the third party is refusing to pay because he believes that he wasn't as fault... When I asked budget if they had conducted thier investigation properly all they said was they have been speaking to 3rd party.

Once, budget had asked me to go out to see if there was any camera footage which is entirely not my job.

This has been going on for about 10 months if my calculations serve me right. When I made my last call to them a few months ago I was told that they do not think they going to be able to get my money back for me.

When I asked the representative if they investigated to accident properly he said they will use Google maps to see where it took place... I told the representative that they should get someone to go out themselves to check the area for themselves.

To my understanding if I'm on the road I have right of way, the third party came of the pavement and banged in to my vehicle, to my understanding I'm not the one at fault but Everytime I speak to budget they make me feel like I'm at fault.

Budget has enough evidence to prove that I'm not the one at fault.,if they saw the accident scene and the pictures of my vehicle and how the accident really took place they would do much better (by the way my back passenger door was damaged and the front of the third party's vehicle was damaged). That alone will tell u that he banged into my vehicle and especially if he came of the pavement.

All I can say is that the level of service that I received is pathetic and due to the nature of my job I see alot of clients face to face and it turns out that this is something normal for budget clients to face. Almost every single client that IV spoken to who was insured with budget has failed to provide me with good stats.

I will definitely consider changing my insurer and will try to save others as well.

Oh and that's not all.. After my vehicle being in a minor accident which costed me 8k to repair my premiums still increased even thou the value of my vehicle depreciated.

I would like for the person who is even going to consider this to pull up all recordings linked to my profile and take a look at all the photos provided to them so they can see that budgets employees and and service really doesn't meet the publics standards. Get someone to check out where the accident took place and then tell me who was right wrong in this instance before the representatives can tell me that they don't think I will get my money back.
