Outstanding Claims and Lack of Legal Follow-Up

I was involved in two accidents while insured with Budget. In both instances, I paid the excess for the repairs. In the first case, the at-fault driver was uninsured. In the second, the responsible party was insured with Outsurance and all necessary details were provided to facilitate a third-party claim. However, Budget has yet to recover the associated costs.

Furthermore, I have not received any updates from the legal team, nor has there been any apparent follow-up on the claims. Could you please provide a clear update on the status of the third-party claims?

Reviewer Update
Good day,

Thank you for your response.

However, I noticed that the exact same email was sent in reference to both of my claims, which is concerning given the differences in each case.

Claim 1 – Incident Date: 2024-07-25
Your response indicates that recovery efforts are underway against a foreign national, with limited contact details available. I understand that a Letter of Demand was sent and that there has been no response to date.

" Good day Ms Trust you are well. With regards to the incident that took place on 2024-07-25, we are currently attempting to recover from a foreign national, of which we do not have any contact numbers, but only a residential address. We have since sent the Letter of Demand to the other party via courier, and there has been no response to the letter sent. The necessary traces have been done to obtain contact numbers, of which there was none. We are unable to advise if the recovery will be successful or not, as the other party does not respond."

Claim 2 - Incident Date: 2025-04-08
The response provided is identical to Claim 1, yet this case involves a different party who is insured with Outsurance. I personally contacted Outsurance and was provided with a link to submit a third-party claim. I subsequently informed Budget Legal of this update, and I was assured that the matter would be taken care of.

Should we successfully reach the other party, or receive any responses, you will be kept updated accordingly. "

Given this, the response stating that there has been "no response" from the other party is inaccurate. It does not reflect the actions I have taken or the commitments made by your legal team. I respectfully request that you review this matter urgently and ensure that appropriate and truthful updates are provided going forward.

I trust that Budget Insurance values accuracy and accountability in handling client claims and will follow through on the commitments made.

Kind regards,
