Not transparent

<p>On the 14/6/16 I submitted a claim for my refrigerator that had packed up. I was told that an assessor will come to my residents to assess the damage thereof . The call centre agent had asked me all the relevant questions pertaining to the claim and also what was the cost of the refrigerator at the purchase stage and how long ago that was . I gave him the information . He then told me that there will be "Access " which I will be liable for but didn't stipulate the amount of the "Acess" and said let The assessor first assess then you should worry about the"Access".</p> <p>The assessor came 2 days later as promised and told me I needed to get a new Refrigerator . He told me to follow up with the insurance company. I did that 2 days later but was told that my claim was partially approved in the sense that (1) the total amount of goods damaged will be paid out to me. Which also had "Access" that I liable for. This though was deducted from the proceeds. (2) Replacement of the refrigerator claim would be Approved provided that I paid an amount if R2500 . This amount was quoted to me by the supplier who wanted to deliver the refrigerator. I then call the call centre wanting to find out as to why the amount if the Access wasn't stipulated but to my suprise was told that the amount was confirmed with me. My theory was why would I pay R5000 for a refrigerator 5 years ago and the pay R2500 Access . I said to them if the Access was stipulated I would have asked for option B but the agent was certain that he mentioned the amount . Seeing that they say their calls are recorded and monitored for quality control I asked for the recording of the conversation I had with the agent but up till this far no recording was sent</p>
