After I have purchased a new vehicle I decided to get a scratch and dent policy. My current insurer did not offer it as an option so I opted to get it as a stand-alone value added product from budget. I was told to get my vehicle inspected at my local Glasfit. When I got there they couldn't find my policy on the system (even though the debit order has already gone off and I have received confirmation of my account). So the lady did the inspection "on the book". This was a struggle in itself to send a copy of the inspection paper to someone that will accept it. When I got a scratch on my car in the work parking lot and wanted to open a claim I was told that there is a 90 day cooldown period applicable because I didn't take my car for inspection so I had to resend the inspection certificate email to the claims agent. Once that was sorted I took my car to Automagic as per the instructions on 16/01/2019 and on 17/01/2019 I received an SMS stating that my documentation has been received and I will get feedback within 48 working hours. It is now almost two weeks later and I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED FEEDBACK. I have phoned them multiple times and I just get told someone will phone me back and no one does! Now I need to take the matter to the Ombudsman. Be warned people!
