No Feedback 4 Months Later!

We were involved in an accident on 19 February 2016 ( I was driving my Mom's car, The Policy Holder). After receiving the worst service ever with regards to Excess etc, we still waiting for feedback on the 3rd Party claim.

Surely after almost 4 months we should have feedback. Every time we call the guy dealing with our claim, he is unavailable and trying to speak to someone else is useless! We Paid the excess although not happy and Budget got us to conveniently up the policy cover (making me the Regular Driver so Excess will be lower). We have on numerous occations mentioned that as soon as the 3rd Party pays we will cancel as you do not accomodate more than one person able to drive otherwise your Excess is sky high.

Basically all you have done for my Mom is Increase her Premium by more than double, with no Excess reduction, and given no substantial feedback. Bottom line the 3rd Party drove into us, they are at fault and should be liable for the money we had to borrow to have the damage fixed.

Budget Insurance does not seem interested in recovering this. All you seem interested in is getting your monthly premium. If a client complains you treat them like an inconvenience. Not the way service should be conducted! All I ask is for someone to sort out the 3rd Party claim, if they are unwilling to pay, atleast let us know so we can put this horrible ordeal behind us and move to an Insurance Company that can offer us the Service we deserve!

Regards Brigitte Schwerdtfeger (on Behalf of E.J Schwerdtfeger)

We acknowledge receipt of your complaint

Firstly allow us the opportunity to apologise for the lack of service you have received regarding the lack of feedback on the recovery of your excess which will most certainly be addressed with the responsible consultant.

Kindly be advised that the excess is an 'uninsured' amount payable at the time of a claim and there is no guarantee of a successful recovery. In addition; there is no set time frame in which a recovery can be made as this is solely based on the processors of the third party's insurance company.

We have however escalated the matter to the manager of the legal department to ensure that contact is made with you during the course of today to inform you of the current progress and also to discuss the way forward.

Kind Regards

The Budget Team

We have received confirmation from our Legal Department that contact has been made with you and that the excess will be refunded in the interim whilst they are still busy attempting the recovery from the other Insurer.

We trust that this meets with your approval.

Kind Regards
