My Budget Insurance Horror Story.

I just thought I should leave a review of my experience with Budget Insurance.

I have since withdrawn my claim and canceled my policy but this could help someone out there.

I was involved in a car accident on the 19 of January 2025. This was my very first time being involved in an accident where I was the driver. Considering this, I would have expected my insurance company to explain the processes to me, to provide updates when they say they will, to provide advise and a clear direction and way forward because it is a very stressful time especially if it's your first time.

Anyways, my Dad got a towing company to collect my car from the scene of the accident - Budget says they will reimburse half of the money paid to the towing company however now I'm being given the run around.

We have decided to repair the vehicle ourselves because for us it's worth it to fix it and it's strange that my insurance company won't even contribute 2 cents to those repairs even though I was a loyal client under a comprehensive cover.

Also, When we went to collect my vehicle at the autobody company they sent my vehicle to - they had ****** my battery and replaced it with a different one. I have informed budget insurance about this - I hope to get assistance but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't assist.

I don't think I will be coming back to budget insurance once my vehicle is repaired - or recommend it to anyone I know 💕.
