Marketing sms
Dear Budget Team, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and frustration with your company’s handling of my policy and the subsequent communications I continue to receive. I previously held a policy with Budget, which I explicitly terminated. During the cancellation process, I made it very clear that I do not wish to receive any further communication, marketing materials, or offers from your company. Despite this clear instruction, I continue to receive messages promoting your products, including car insurance and life cover. This ongoing communication is unacceptable and constitutes harassment. I have been explicit in my instructions: I do not want any products or services from your company, now or in the future. The repeated marketing messages I am receiving ignore my clear requests and demonstrate a disregard for my rights as a consumer. To provide context, my decision to terminate the policy was based on a series of unsatisfactory experiences with your services, which I consider unreasonable, frustrating, and indicative of poor business practices: 1. Charging R1500 for a windscreen replacement, whereas all other insurers provide this service free of charge. 2. Restricting towing services to only the dealership where the car was purchased, instead of allowing customers to choose their preferred destination. These policies are unreasonable, impractical, and show a lack of consideration for customer convenience and satisfaction. Such practices have caused me frustration and have led me to question the integrity and professionalism of your company. I find Budget’s approach to these services not only inconvenient but also misleading, and I feel compelled to inform others of these experiences. I must also remind you that under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the Consumer Protection Act, I have the legal right to refuse unsolicited marketing communications. Your continued contact, despite my explicit refusal, is a violation of my legal rights. Marketing communications that ignore explicit consumer consent are considered ******** and coercive, and continuing to send them can have serious legal implications. Therefore, I demand the following immediate actions: • Permanent removal of my contact information from all marketing, promotional, and product offer lists. • Written confirmation that my details have been removed and that I will not receive any further communications from your company. Failure to comply with these requests will leave me with no choice but to escalate this matter to the relevant consumer protection authorities, and I will consider pursuing legal action for harassment, violation of my rights, and non-compliance with POPIA and the Consumer Protection Act. I trust that Budget will take this matter seriously and act promptly to respect my rights as a consumer. Any further communication or failure to act will reflect poorly on your company’s professionalism and commitment to ethical business practices. I expect a formal response confirming that my contact information has been removed and that no further communications will be sent.
NB: I DONT NEED ANY CALLS FROM YOU.
That is concerning to hear, and we would like to apologize for the service and experience. We will escalate this matter to the relevant team to assist.
Kind Regards,
The Budget Team
