Mad excess

while on my way to holiday I struck potholes shredding one tyre damaging 2 others .. I thought no problem contact my insurance company to short well I reported to call centre for claim just be told there is nothing they can do for me I have to ride home with 2 damaged tire and no spare back home 300km to take in the drive in , wait +- three days for claim to be processed the worst is the excess is almost R5000 for pot damaged tyres and was told extra R500 will be added because I had been less than a year how backward is this insurance company such a high excess for damaged tyres I have question this whole experience is why insure when at the end of the day you have to pay for the repairs your self budget insurance gladly takes your money every month but when you claim they try to ***** you over not to pay I so I am out pocket of R6000.00 thanks for nothing budget will be looking for new insurance company >>>> don't bother insuring with budget insurance it will leave a bad taste in your mouth
