Insurance Woes

My vehicle was involved in a car accident in May 2023, my vehicle was a write off. I communicated with the insurance company to figure out a way forward. I am disappointed to find out that despite up to date monthly instalments and insurance payments I would not be receiving a vehicle. During my communication with the insurance, I was informed that I would have to pay excess in order to receive a vehicle but was later told that I would not be receiving a vehicle. I believe that it would be fair for me to be paid back the money that I had been paying monthly towards insurance. I had been with the insurance from October 2021 to date.
