insurance not helping

I had a budget insurance for almost three (3) to four (4) years and i have not complaint ever since joining with them. But since load shedding started my sound bar was damaged through power failer and I lodged a complaint with budget but they could not help me, they said that they did not cover powerfailer so I was not helped at all and I was not emailed the contract ever since joining the insurance.
