Insurance cancellation attempt

I am disgusted by the service I received at budget insurance, been trying to cancel my vehicle insurance with them for over a week now. I keep calling and every time I’m told the previous person did not cancel the insurance and that it’s still active. The last consultant I spoke to this morning even hung up the phone. I’m now stuck with an insurance I don’t need. I regret taking up the insurance in the first place, what could be so difficult in canceling an insurance and emailing a cancellation letter. Budget insurance service sucks
