I was ripped my budget insurance

My name is Glen and I feel like I was ******. I was ****** of my car because of I was New In the short term insurance for cars.

I had budget insurance. And on the 15 of July I was involved in an accident and I had to tow my car my on expense. Cool on the 16th I call budget and we lodged and claim and on the 17th of July the came and took my car for assessment so they say. Since then there was no communication or update since they were waiting for the premium. So on the 26th I called them to ask about the update or to check wats happening with my car or claim or assessment results or report. Lord I was asked a simple question "Mr mamokabi are aware that your car has been written off?" I was surprised and shocked because no call and inform me about the assessment or results or how much it will cost to fix the car or I was to informed that they intend write off my car.

The damaged parts was the FRONT BUMPER.RIGHT HEAD LIGHT. FENDER CV JOINT AND THE V-ARM. The car can still start everything was ok except the above mentioned. The air bags did not pop out the interior was 100% fine as well as the engine but they write it off.

I demanded to see the assessment report yoh I was shocked when I see it because it had lot of things that were not even realistic. The cost was 78000 for bumper FENDER LIGHT cv joint and v arm so they write it off without my knowledge without my consent and when I asked they said they are expect and I don't know how it works.

So they told me the value of the car is 104900 but I was owing the bank 161000 so they paid 104900 and they removed access fine of 13500 from 104900 and the paid close to 91200 to MFC so I was left with the short fall or 51000

I asked them who must pay it since they write off my car and they said I must discuss with the bank.

They write it of without my knowledge without my consent and they said they don't need my permission to write it off.

Is that how it works? Who must pay the short fall coz they took my car? Wat if after they assessment send cancel THE claim and repair it myself? Because I don't know anything about short term insurance I must be ripped like this? Wat is the purpose of having insurance then is all they do is to write off cars and ***** money and leave with debt.?
