False advertising and time wasting

I was previously a client of Budget insurance but I had switched to another insurer.

I then received an SMS from Budget advising that "we've cut down your old premium of R 1292,10 to just R 935,44. How cool is that? Reply YES for a call back, STOP to opt out"

I rep**** yes and was contacted by a consultant. I spent 15 minutes on the phone confirming that all of my details remain unchanged.

Despite none of my details having changed since the last time I was a client, they ended up quoting me a premium of R1 150.00, which is R200.00 more than the amount quoted in their SMS.

It is disappointing that they quote one amount and then after wasting my time on the phone, they offer another.

If you get a similar SMS from Budget, please ignore it.
