EXTREMELY ****ED

Buget ****ing Up Once Again, Dealing with Budget Insurance during difficult times has been incredibly frustrating. My wife was involved in an accident where another driver sped through a stop sign, forcing my wife to dead brake in her lane, where she had the right of way. This could have been deadly, but thanks to her quick thinking, no major injuries. Despite our efforts to get the claim sorted, the woman responsible for the accident blocked us and even hung up on Budget. After more than six weeks of constant back and forth calls, we finally got our car back and paid the excess, with the assurance that once the excess was paid, the recovery process would begin.

However, today, after calling Budget (as they never update us proactively), we were told the recovery claim had been abandoned. No one informed us of this decision. To make matters worse, they claimed this was due to the accident being my wife’s fault, which contradicts everything that was previously communicated. If that was the case, why wasn’t it mentioned from the start? Why did they tell us they were contacting the other party and would recover the excess after we received the car, as per their usual process?

My wife’s decision to dead brake was made to avoid a potentially deadly collision—she had the right of way and no other option. This was explained thoroughly to Budget and at the police station, but now, when we call to check on the recovery process, they are changing their stance.

The level of service from this insurance company has been appalling. They seem to care only about collecting premiums while making empty promises and providing no support when it matters. I will not hesitate to share negative feedback about this experience.
