Dont ever consider Budget Insurance!!!

My entire experience with Budget during my vehicle accident claim has been nothing short of disgusting!!

They quick to sign you up but thats where the service ends. After filing my claim they decided to decline my claim saying i was under the influence of alcohol which no one could prove i was or that the breathalyze result was mine. I am an insulin dependant diabetic who is not allowed to drink alcohol and admit i had 2 or 3 drinks for that day. Florence, the lady that handled my claim, has the worst people s****s i have witnessed. She couldnt even be honest with me when handling my claim. She asked me to send her my bank statements for the day of my accident as well as the day after. When i asked her why, she said (this is our standard procedure). Im not stupid as the reason she wanted this was to see if i had bribed and officer the morning of my accident. She never got back to me once when i tried to follow up on my claim. She then called me to ask if i could come in and finalise the claim which i did, only to realise i was there to be interrogated and not to finalise the claim. I did not appreciate this as this woman treated me like i was a ********. After 2 months of me trying to get answers as to what the process is of my claim i finally get a call from someone to say the claim is declined due to the fact that i was under the influence. This person then went on to say they had been trying to get hold of me (once again another lie by a Budget consultant) but i wasnt available. I did not recieve any calls or messages and told the consultant to send me proof which they could not do. I challenged the decision to decline my and again i was given the same story that it was declined. I said that is fine and that i wanted my vehicle back. I told the consultant Maryka that my legal team will take it from there. Just as well i thought ahead and went for blood tests when i got home the morning of my accident as i knew they would blame alcohol. I was then told that my vehicle would be delivered on Monday which never happened and no one at Budget can tell me where my vehicle is. Today being 4 days later i get another call from a Budget consultant, Robyn telling me they are trying to track my vehicle and that my car insurance has been cancelled due to my black out. So now because im a diabetic i am not allowed to have car insurance?? What kind of nonsense is this? Does this mean people with certain health conditions cannot have car insurance?

All this information as been given over to my legal advisor who will be taking this matter further. I do not have the words to describe my experience and if i did my language wouldnt be accepted.

This complaint will also be put on all social media platforms.

Budget - Like they say, you get what you pay for!!
