Deceptive rates at first, and then HUGE increase with poor communication

Apparently Budget insurance automatically raises your rates each year, and you have to call them to get them to reduce the rates to a reasonable range. I never received the email informing me of this, nor can I find it on my online account. This happened to me back in September 2025 - my rates jumped from R2,686 to R3,358. This was on autopay, so I didn't notice until recently, and when I called them was told I could only be refunded for the last month. Ridiculous - this seems like such a dishonest way to make money by raising rates unfairly on people. My recommendation - find a different, more honest insurance provider!
