To all South Africans this is a friendly warning to you when choosing a vehicle insurance to cover your property in-case of theft, Accidents and damage to your vehicle. I got involved in an accident on 08/02/2020 due to aqua pilot on the road. I logged my claim on the same day and time of the accident. On Friday 14/02/2020 Budget insurance sent an inspector to inspect my car, On Tuesday 18/02/2020 i got 3 missed calls on my phone and upon my investigation when i woke up i realized that it was Budget Insurance. I then called the number back only to be told that the call was just to update me with the progress of my claim which i still do not understand the process thereof. On Wednesday i got a call and a message from MFC telling me they will debit my account on the 24/02/2020 for my vehicle and this hit me by a surprise because i trusted my insurance to take good care of this matter but i can see my insurance is not what i thought it was to me. the only important thing with insurance companies like Budget is when they need to debit your account for the monthly premium and thus means that your financial well-being is none of their business after all. I am so ****ed-off i cannot even believe i fell for the same trap people warned me about before. I now regret forcing my nephew to take budget as his insurance company for his vehicle and i will do all in my best ability to get my nephew out of budget. Or maybe budget still wants to debit me for the month of February with my car permanently parked in Kroonstad at a panel beating shop that budget chose to move my car to? South Africans, please do not be fooled by Insurance companies telling you about their seamless claim process because it is not true. once you need their help, they will take you from pillar to post just to exonerate money out of you. You will be told your claim is sitting with the Senior Advisor whom i don't think he or she sleeps well at night knowing that another person is sitting waiting in vain for the claim to be finalized and delay tactics are in progress just to make the claimant to be negative to this regard. I regret taking Budget as my Insurer. I gave budget my first preference out of many insurance companies available in South Africa because of the promises they gave to me when i signed up with them.
