Claim declined
On 5 August 2018 at 12:10pm, my house was burgled while the whole family was in church. I registered a claim on 6 August 2018. On 21 August, the front door and safety gate claim was paid out by budget.
Mr Ian Hennman was then appointed as assessor for house content in meantime. 28/ 08/2018 Mr Hennman telephonically informed me that claim will not be paid out due to the fact that Budget was not informed that my wife was working again and also the fact that the upstairs windows did not have burglar bars on. The burglars did not enter the house via the upstairs window. They entered through the front door which budget was will to fix. I therefore cannot understand why this would be used as an excuse to not pay out the house contents that were ******. The second reason for not paying out was that I didnt inform them that my wife started working again. Note that this happened on a Sunday while we were in church. I fail to see what her working has to do with what happens on a weekend. I need someone to urgently make contact with me to review this claim. I should also mention that I've requested the call recording of when the contract was taken out from Budget last week Thursday and to date have not received anything.
Please treat this as urgent.
