On 25 Feb.'16, we reported a burst geyser to Budget who instructed 24Fix to do the repairs. They arrived around 10h30 & confirmed the burst geyser, they left & returned later with a new geyser. The old geyser was removed & before installing the new one, Monica at 24Fix called & insisted that we pay the R1500 excess before they install the new geyser. We duly paid against our better judgement & the installation was completed around 16h00. Around 18h00, hot steaming water was overflowing from the newly installed geyser & when we called the 24Fix plumber, he refused to come back. At 20h00 we managed to speak to someone at 24Fix emergency who then sent another plumber to assist. Mr Jacobs arrived at 22h00 & confirmed that the thermostat was blown & that the geyser had not been installed properly but there was nothing he could do to assist us as he had not done the installation. He advised that we contact 24Fix in the morning to come & do the repairs. We then contacted Claude at Budget who got someone else to come & do a proper repair a week later at another cost of R8000. I need someone very senior at Budget Insurance to please contact me as a matter of urgency as I have valuable info
