CAN YOU RELY ON YOUR INSURER?

I am insured with Budget insurance company. I lodged a claim with them on the 3rd September 2019, when I had a car accident. They rejected the claim based on my spouse's previous insurance profile who is an additional driver and who was not even driving at the time of the incident.
