BUDGET?TELESURE BE AFFRAID>>>BE VERY AFFRAID

Where to begin?Firstly a couple of months ago I lost my cars keys,I called Budget for assistance and was very bluntly told that i was to far from home to tow my car and that it would probably be cheaper to just sort out the problem myself! So there I was left to my own devises , WHAT ??? Strike one against Budget. Secondly , my wife and I where travelling to work,{we live in Malmsbury and commute to Durbanville every day , a round trip of about 120kms } anyone who has ever traveled the road between Malmsbury and Durbanville will know how dark and misty that stretch can be, when just as I overtook a truck I hit something in the road , I dont know what it was , but my car felt like it went airborne and there was an almighty noise as something ripped through the motor . I immediately felt my car started to pull to one side and after my last run in with Budget thought I would rather avoid the aggravation and another run in with the ever not so helpful Budget Insurance and took my car to a suspension specialist who I know also does work for Telesure . He pulled the car on his hoist and inspected the suspension .He informed me that the r/f shock was bent and needed replacement , the cost to him from Hyundai being over 4k , excl fitment, excl any additional parts . I asked if there wasn't anything he could do to get me mobile and he managed to bend my shock and advised me to contact my insurance as the replacement parts and labour would be a costly affair, but still the thought of having to deal with Budget put me off until the Sunday after the incident occurred when having left the car in the driveway Friday and starting it up on Sunday my wife showed me a pool of oil laying under my car!I went and bought a 5l oil and the car took about 4lts of oil!I left it and Monday went to work with it,after work {we start at 7h30 to 17h00,I checked again under my car and again a puddle of oil.Again about 4-5 lts oil and then I decide to call Budget as this was rather serious. The gentleman who logged my claim was helpful enough and very understanding , and advised me that they would arrange a tow truck and asked if I need a rental as my policy provides me with one for 15 days,THANKFULLY I have another vehicle and did not take the rental! A lady then called me from the local panel shop and informed me that the tow truck would be bringing my car to them,I queried why to a panel shop,my car had no cosmetic damages, she assured me that they where more than capable of doing suspension repairs and mechanical work and if they could not, they would outsource the work, fair enough I thought .When the tow truck arrived at my house, the driver was hesitant to load my car because he was scared he would damage the Hyundai Tiburons low f/bumper and so I offered to ride the car to his workshop for him,(his workshop has security cameras ,anyone willing can pull the film of the evening and confirm). Alarm bells was ringing in my ears, but I thought nothing of it and carried on,I had helped the youngster and saved some time .The next day a Mr Willie le Roux (Telesure assessor) called me confirming my vehicle was at the local panel and that he would be sending my car to their #specialist as I quote "sy dukpens nie onder my kar kan in nie omte kan sien wat aan gaan nie ".His #specialist was in Montague gardens , about 60 odd kms away from me,but I agreed and off it went .During this time a lady from Budget,Shireen/Sheraz, or something called me and introduced herself as the liaison between the assessor and myself and would be keeping me posted . She called me twice, once to introduce herself and once last Tuesday I believe to say that she was STILL waiting on the assessment and if she does not call me Friday,.she will definitely call me Monday.By this afternoon , 11 days after my car was booked I had still not received an assessment and no call from this mysterious Shiraz and after a frustrating couple of calls managed to get through to a Megan Young who actually seemed to listen and care about what was happening .I queried the fact that why it has taken so long just to get a assessment done and what if,heaven forbid I had taken the rental vehicle and not bothered to call in to follow up? Surely I would have been held liable for the rental after 15 days, one wonders if this is a common occurrence and if so how much money has the rental company made off us clients due to the insurance companies not acting promptly ,the alternative being that this is a ploy between the insurance and vehicle rental agency to get more money from their clients, but that is just my opinion . Megan seemed to agree that it has taken to long and agreed with the fact that I should not have to phone in looking for feedback .Megan informed me that my claim had been rejected for what seems to be 2 reasons, firstly the damage to my suspension according to Mr le Rouxs #specialist was going to be less than R2900.00 which is my excess and I would be better off fixing it myself (sounds fami**** hey?) Now here is my problem with this, firstly I have asked on numerous occasions if this #specialist of Mr le Rouxs has Hyundai approval , no one incl le Roux can tell me , if I wanted my car to be fixed or scratched on any old mechanic, I would have taken it to the guys under the trees here by us,but trusted the insurance to at least send it to an accredited repairer. Secondly, how can one Telesure approved repair center quote me over 4k for just the shock, but le Roux #specialist can replace the shock and odds and ends for under my excess of R2900,VERY strange.Secondly, according to Le Rouxs #specialist,my cars engine is leaking oil via the cam seals which according to them is wear and tear and not covered, fair enough, but again I wonder how many people have been duped like this,,according to Le Rouxs #specialist the cam seals are leaking due to oil pressure from the oil pump ,understandable,BUT please explain this to me MR Le Roux and your # specialist , why then does my car leak nearly 5lts of oil when the engine is off and the oil pump is not working? Does the oil then magically seep UP from the sump,UP through the engine block, UP through the cylinder head and decide to seep out the cam seal?Even a two year old knows that liquids flow down ,but hey what do I know Im not a #specialist, just a paying client or as I have become to feel a milk *** that pays his premium on time month after month but gets shunned when its time to feed me .To add insult to injury,Mr Le Roux calls me this afternoon and insists I must look at photos to prove my cam seals are leaking ,TWICE I had to remind him that he is not scolding one of his children due to his near shouting and intimidating tone ,I guesse it works on lots of his clients, but sorry pal,if you dont know a piston from a spark plug, dont try and intimidate me into believing your tripe you are trying to sell or bully me into believing you. Of course there is no record of my first encounter when I lost my keys on record, even though the first thing you hear when you call in is "please note, all our calls are recorded for quality control purposes",LOKL! Megan Young tried to advise me to contact Telesures complaint resolution center (or something like that ) if I was not happy with the assessment for an "independent" review,I had to laugh,I have to go through ANOTHER Telesure office to try and sort out Telesure???Yeah like thats ever going to happen. In closing I have asked Megan to get the #specialist to give me a call and quote me on the seals he claims is perished , But I won't hold my breath and will probably be taking my car to Hyundai and having it repaired at #REALSPECALISTS at my own cost and Budget/Telesure will never see another cent from me .

So,to add insult to injury Budget refuses to repair my car, their #specialist (who it has emerged is not Hyundai approved) has determined that my oil leak is due to wear and tear ,fine , I have a booking at Hyundai and am eager to see what they the REAL SPECIALIST will determine ,they will tow my car back to me,also fine,BUT again BUDGETS/TELESURES #specialist service providers towing company,BASSONS turn up a hour late,my car in tow,the driver a young man in his twenties and his assistant,a young schoolboy,no older than 14.(#specialist indeed) Between the two of them they managed to damage my front bumper(it is loose and the paint is chipped) and totally out of alignment(we took photos and video of the farce ) and I drove my car to them, (the towing company two weeks ago ),now when these #specialist deliver my car ,it wont start and the electric window drivers side is down,my wife had to put a black bag over the window to try and prevent tonights rain from damaging the interior .This is beyond embarrassing as I'm sure my neighbours must be having a right laugh at us .I will be seeking legal advice in the morning .
