Budget not providing satisfactory service

On 4 December 2021, a whole lot of things got fried at my home due to a lightning strike. I was away on holiday at the time and submitted the claim to Budget on 10 December when I returned. Since then there has been very vague and rare communication. After quite a bit of prompting, they appointed a bunch called Alcatraz Security to come over and assess and replace. They did this and I was told to pay a R4000-00 deposit in order for the work to be done. I paid this on 29 December. I also notified Buddget that I had ddiscovered further damage that would need to be assessed. The lady there said fine, the provider would do that and submit a report. On 10 January 2022 I asked Alcatraz for an update on this claim and service. I was told that they were having difficulty sourcing one of the items. Well, it is a readily available item at quite a few plumbing and solar outlets. And then, out of the blue, I received an email from Alcatraz that the insurance provider has decided to give me a cash settlement. I dont think that I have been treated at all the way that a client of an insurance comapny should be treated. I still have no gate motor and a number of other items need assessing and replacing. It is now over six weeks from the incident and there has been no move on this claim. In fact, the emails that I am sending are being ignored and a call to the help desk produced absolutely no result.
