Budget is not a good insurance company.
I bought a car in 2017. Was insured with King price for a few months. I then decided to join Budget because they offered me a lower access amount. On the 9th of August 2019 I was involved in an accident that almost ended my life. I lodged my claim the following Monday. The claim was lodged and assigned to a gentleman named "Reshaal Harry". He contacted me yesterday(21 August 2019) informing me that they are done with the assessment of my car and he will submit my claim to management. He further informed me that my claim might be rejected based on the fact that when I took the insurance I was asked if I've ever been an insured driver? Which I answered yes because when I was in university I drove a car which was insured with Miway but the insurance was not in my name. But I was insured to drive the car under my mother's name.. They have been deducting premiums from my account for over two and a half years now. What can I do? What channels can I follow legally to make sure this injustice does not go unchecked?
What can I do should they reject my claim? I have always been as honest and forthcoming with my information from the beginning with these guys. Are they allowed to do this based on the reason that there was a misunderstanding about how long my mother was insured with Miway?
Please help. I don't wish for anyone else to go through this with their insurance. Had I read all these reviews before entering into a relationship with Budget insurance I would have made a different choice.
