Budget is a ****!
Budget asked me to verify my bank account debit order, which I did. They then sent to me the following sms. . . Year end is almost here, BRUCE! Use your R50.00 from your DebiCheck verification to grab a Takealot or Airtime voucher and treat yourself before the holidays. Dial *120*147# to redeem. It does not work when trying to redeem the R50. I phoned Budget yesterday. The person on the help desk said she would look into it and get back to me. She did not. I am thinking to stop insuring with Budget. If I ever have to make a claim, I can imagine the difficulty and excuises to repudiate the claim. I strongly advise against insuring with Budget. 05 Nov 2025, 18:09Up to today I have been trying to resolve this **** by Budget offering a voucher for R50. It does NOT WORK!!! My trust in Budget is now zero. I have spent about R100 phoning them and the problem persists. This shows that this R50 voucher is nothing more than a ****. I gave Budget till 17H00 today to resolve the issue. They never got back to me. If this is how they deal with someone trying to claim R50, which they are offering. Imagine how they will react if I have a legitimate claim of a few thousand Rand. They will NEVER honor it. I will be going to the bank tomorrow and canceling my debit order. This I will do because Budget will not cancel my insurance with them. I strongly advise everyone against insuring with Budget. They are not a serious insurance company. Avoid having anything to do with them. From Godwin Symons.
