Budget Insurance – Unacceptable Handling of Claim & Lack of Proper Investigation

I am extremely dissatisfied with how my third-party claim was handled by Budget Insurance, particularly by Nobuhle Nala. The process followed was careless, one-sided, and shows a complete lack of proper investigation.

A decision was made that I “lost control” of my vehicle and caused the accident. This is completely false. I was driving on the main road when your client approached from a side road with a stop sign, failed to stop, and crashed into the passenger side of my vehicle. The impact from your client caused me to lose control — not the other way around.

Despite submitting all relevant evidence, including my police statement and clear photographs of both vehicles after the accident, my version of events has been ignored. The point of impact alone clearly supports my account, yet it appears that the outcome was based solely on your client’s statement.

This is a serious failure in claims handling. Making a liability decision without a fair and balanced investigation is unacceptable and raises concerns about the integrity of your assessment process.

I am formally demanding that this matter be escalated and independently reviewed as a matter of urgency. If this is not addressed fairly and promptly, I will escalate this matter to the Ombudsman for Short-Term Insurance (OSTI) without further notice.

I expect a prompt response and a reassessment based on all the evidence provided.
