Budget Insurance not recommended as a insurance - dont take it you will get left stranded
Budget INSURANCE is the worst insurance you can have i will not recommend anyone to take it. I got sold a policy with so much hidden clause that it ended up leaving me stranded while taking part in the South African championship. My car broke down with a fan belt, I contacted budget insure to secure a courtesy car seeing i’ve been paying for it on my policy. After contacting them explaining that i am stranded the consultant told me they cant provide me with a courtesy car as my policy dont cover mechanical and electrical failure. I then told the consultant that when i got the policy they did not stipulate that nor inform me regarding as i would have ensure its cover. Long story short i am stranded 300 km away from home with my car being 60 km away from me at the dealer. I dont know how i’ll get home, i’ve put all my trust in my insure just to be told sorry you got sold a policy that only cover when you in an accident. What the hell is that why selling me something with hidden clause. Or telling me you have to damage the car before we can help.

I immediately cancelled the insurance as i dont see the need for having an insurance that cant help you when you need the assistance. They didn’t even try to assist me after explaining that the consultant never told me about a mechanical / electrical cover. i added the courtesy car option to be able to have a car if something happens. What if i had a breakdown on my way to cape town. I possibly would have been dead with the crime rate in our country. I strong will not recommend budget insurance to anyone. Please people be careful when deciding on budget insurance
