Budget insurance ****med my dad

About a year ago, An agent contacted my dad (a pensioner) for car insurance, which he took as he considered it a better deal since there was 0 excess. Months went by thankfully with no accidents. The problem came by when he got into a minor accident and initiated a claim, all of a sudden he need to pay an amount close to R10000. My dad was furious as he expect a smooth claim process.

What made him more angry was when he wanted to cancel, they refused to refund, stating he needed to give them 31 days' notice.
